The company BAAZAR RETAIL LIMITED is owned by Khemka’s & Saraf’s. Both Khemka’s and Saraf’s have adequate exposure and experience of Garments industry. Mr. Sanjay Saraf and his family is engaged in the business of Sarees, Textiles etc. over a period of more than 10 years, whereas Mr. Manoj Khemka was associated for a period of more than 15 years with a reputed company having various retail departmental stores of readymade garments, fabrics, textiles and sarees. Mr. Khemka & Mr. Saraf are the key persons of the organization.

The company was incorporated on 28th day of August, 1998 and was engaged in the sarees business (wholesale marketing) during its initial years. Looking the prospects of retailing industry and garments line in particular, the company started its first retail venture by opening a Mega Retail Departmental Store “Baazar Kolkata” at Gariahat in South Kolkata in the month of August, 2002. This venture was a grand success; and within a short span of less than 5 years it achieved a turnover of more than Rs. 130 crores. Further in such a short period of time, the company has adopted all the latest technologies, like complete computerization, bar coding of goods, implementation of various MIS Reporting System, effective inventory monitoring system, analyzing customer data base, etc.

Encourage with the success of “Baazar Kolkata” at Kolkata, the Company opened four more showrooms in Kolkata – Lindsay Street, Park Street, VIP Road, Saltlake City Center & six showrooms out side Kolkata – Surat, Cuttack, Bhubaneshwar, Ahmedabad, Asansol & Siliguri. All the showrooms are having good footfalls, sales and customer satisfaction.
